SUDOCO Newsletter #4 is out: the project’s legacy to TORQUE 2026

The fourth issue of the SUDOCO newsletter is now online.

This edition’s editorial, “The SUDOCO legacy to TORQUE 2026,” takes stock of the sixteen scientific papers the project brought to TORQUE 2026 in Bruges, covering the full value chain of wind farm control co-design: from wake-mixing and wake-steering techniques (with a particular focus on the helix method), through data-driven load surrogate models, to the integrated assessment of structural health, farm economics, layout optimization and high-fidelity numerical simulations.

Beyond the scientific round-up, the newsletter also features:

  • A report on SUDOCO’s 6th General Assembly, held in Milan in April 2026 and hosted by Politecnico di Milano and ICONS, including a visit to Politecnico’s wind tunnel;
  • A new instalment of the SUDOCO interview series, with Alessandro Croce (Politecnico di Milano) discussing the wind tunnel tests validating the project’s “Control Room of the Future”;
  • An announcement of SUDOCO’s participation at NetZero Milan 2026 (20–22 October);
  • The recording of the joint “Synergies Workshop” with sister projects ICONIC, TWAIN and WILLOW;
  • The latest updates from SUDOCO’s network of Horizon Europe sister projects.
